云南有无早粳,在稻种的分化上是值得重视的。本文指出在云南陆稻的地方种中有中熟早粳以及在云南西北部高海拔地区还存在一种“假早粳型”,后者的特点是在15～18小时的日长下,生育期逐渐显著延长,不同于典型的早粳。此外一些感光性弱的中粳和芒稻则以具有较长的短日高温生育期与早粳相区别。文中还讨论了早粳在云南形成的原因,并设想了云南粳稻向外传播的途径。
