Abstract:Pollen morphology of 27 species in genus Fritillaria from China were exami-ned under the light microscope (LM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). According to their exine ornamentation, these pollen can be divided into two groups: quasi-rugutat and reticulate. The characters of pollen grains of 27 species (varieties) differ from each other in ornamentation, formation and width of muri, size of lumina, the number of lumina in per unit area, ratio of length of baculum and caput of pilum, etc.
