Abstract:This paper analyzes the gastrodin in various types of Gastrodia elata quantitatively and qualitatively by means of TLC and HPLC.The TLC result shows the various types of G.elata to be almost the same.The HPLC result reveals that the peak number and retention times of these various types are similar,but the peak areas or peak heights are different.
