Abstract:This paper deals with the comparative study on the biological activity of the rhizome of ginseng, the whole ginseng and the main root of ginseng. It is found that the pharmacological actions of the three are quite the same, and through acute toxicity test, no obvious difference has been discovered between them. This showed clearly that it‘s not proper to discard the rhizome when using ginseng.
