Abstract:It has been verified that there are some changes inside the root of Sanguisorba officinalis (Radix Sanguisorbae) after being charcoal-processed. It has been found that after the processing the amount of calcium oxalate crystal is obviously decreased; the tissue structure is partly carbonized; the effective components——saponin and tannic acid are decomposed to some extent, but some new components come into exist ence.
