Abstract:Advances in the studies on forms of selenium in environment and in plants are reviewed, including the distribution of selenium in soil and water, the relationship between distribution and pH or other characteristics, the amounts and structures of organic selenium compounds in plants, and their relation with sulfur, their absorption and transformation.
