Abstract:This paper reports the effect of 0.1 ~10 mg/L N-phenyl-N’-(2-chloro-4-pyridyl)-urea (4PU-30) aqueous solution on the physiology and pod yield of peanut plants. The experimental results showed that the thickness of leaves, chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate were promoted by 4PU-30. Meanwhile, 4PU-30 increased the translocation of assimilates from leaves to pods. The regulator also enhanced the rates of pod formation, pod filling and pod yield as compared with control.
