Abstract:In order to study the efficacy of the endophytic marine bacterium strain CⅢ-1 isolated from the leaf of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza on the biological control the capsicum bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, the pots and fields tests were used in this paper. Tested in the pots and treated with the suspension of strain CⅢ-1, the capsicum bacterial wilt was reduced 80.77% at 21d, the capsicum height and fresh weight were increased 47.58% and 67.72% respectively at 25d, compared to the control. When tested in fields and treated with the strain suspension, the disease was reduced 73.44% at 21d. And tested in the fields and treated with the strain CⅢ-1 suspension and its agent which mixed with the bacterial suspension and the offal of the agricultural product processing, the disease were reduced 41.32% and 75.51% respectively at 70d, the plant height increased 16.45% and 26.62%, the yield of the capsicum increased 15.03% and 38.86%, respectively compared to the control. This suggests that the marine bacterium CⅢ-1 was a good candidate strain to biological control the bacterial wilt of capsicum.
