Abstract:To evaluate the known resistant genes of powdery mildery and new-breeding cultivars (lines) in 2005-2007 for resistance to wheat powdery mildew in Shaanxi Province, 32 wheat varieties (lines) carried these known resistant genes and 578 new-breeding cultivars (lines) were identified in the disease nursery. The results showed that only Pm21, Pm4a, Pm5+6, Pm2+Talent and Triticale showed high resistance, and Pm4b, Pm5(Mli), Pm13, Pm19, Pm"Era", Pm2+Mld had weak resistance and the remainder genes became susceptible. The identification results of new-breeding cultivars (lines) indicated that most of these cultivars (lines) were susceptible, and 27 cultivars (lines) were resistant both at seedling and adult stage which percent was 4.67%, and 46 cultivars (lines) were resistant only at adult stage which percent was 7.96%. Progenies from Haynaldia villosa showed fine resistance.
