Abstract:To clarify the effects of temperatures on development of Aulacorthum solani Kaltenbach on Swertia dividii Franch in western Hunan, the development progress of A.solani was dealt with in this paper using a mathematical model. The results showed that developmental threshold temperature of nymph of instars 1 to 4 was 9.49±0.99℃, and effective accumulated temperature was 91.98±2.46 day-degree (r=0.9850). Optimum temperature, lowest lethal temperature and highest lethal temperature were 22.25℃, 2.35℃ and 30.08℃. The ratio of wingless aphids was higher than winged aphids, when the temperature closed to optimum temperature. The theoretical generation was 27-29 probably in western Hunan.
