Abstract:Pot culture experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of different nitrogen forms on the growth and nitrogen accumulation in wheat plant under different N levels (0.05, 0.15, 0.30 g/kg) The results showed that dry weight of total plant, grain yield, nitrogen uptake, leaf area and NRA were significantly enhanced by Enhanced Ammonium Nutrition (EAN) treatment (NH4NO3+DCD) under medium nitrogen level (0.15g/kg) There were no apparent effects of EAN on wheat growth of early stage, net photosynthesis of flag leaf at anthesis and dry matter distribution at maturity EAN under low and high level inhibited growth and nitrogen use of wheat due to the proportional increase in uptake and assimilation of inorganic N as ammonium KNO3 treatment under low level (0.05 g/kg) got the highest nitrogen utilization efficiency Nitrogen leaching was reduced significantly with EAN, but it increased more significantly with N level The results indicate that EAN, under suitable nitrogen level, favors wheat growth, yield and nitrogen utilization
