Abstract:Isozyme technique is an important tool for genetic study of forest tree species. The technique has been widely used since seventies. To effectively apply this tool it is necessary to start with distinguishing the allozymes. comprehending the inheritance of isozyme patterns and choosing applicable isozyme markers. In this paper isozyme patterns has been. analyzed and the selection of enzyme and loci are discussed mainly with Pinus tabulaeformis Carr and scots pine clones. This method is universal for conifer species in isozyme studies.
