Abstract:Seeding physlology, viability and survival after cold storage wete studi- eld 0n pinus tabulaeiormis Carr.,Platyeladus orientalist(Linn.)Franco.When tree seedlings are held in cold, dark storage for prolonged periods of time, they are separated from the Sources of environmental energy and informa- tion they need to develop in synchrony with the changing seasons. This affects一 many important physiotogicalprocesse8一and variables. The change paterns of .Fungi infestati9n,cklorophyll Contens。Carbohydrate reserves, mineral nutrie— nts, wate’r—potentials,RGP。DBB and electrolyte leakage of roots of cold —stored Platycladus and Pinustabulaeformis Carr.Seedlings are investigated. The electrolyte leakage from fine roots is a vory good indicator of stored seedling viaMHty.Pinus tabulaeformis Cart.seedlings require 35-80 days below 5℃to overcome dormancy, whereas Platucladus seedlings have no such re- quirement.
