Abstract:By using simple sequence repeat ( SSR) , 25 apple cultivars were used for genomic polymorphic analysis. 97 alleleswere amp lified by using 10 pairs of primers selected from 20 pairs, of which average 917 alleles perpair of primer were amp lified and polymorphic percentage of amp lified band was 56.4% - 100%. Two pairs of primer (GD142 and 02b1) could distinguish all cultivars used in the study. Based on the SSR results, calculation of the similarity coefficient and also UPGMA cluster analysis showed that the apple cultivars could be classified into the four groups of being similar to the traditional classification.
