Abstract:The photosynthetic characteristics in taro test-tube plantlets during transplantation and acclimation were measured and analyzed with a TPS-1 photosynthetic system. The results showed that the apparentquantum yield, net photosynthetic rate and carboxylation efficiency of the plantlets increased but the transpiration rate and stomatal conductance decreased during the acclimation after transplantation. The chlorophyll content in leaves of the plantlets also increased substantially. These results indicated that acclimation could greatly improve the capabilities of the plantlets to adapt to natural environment, and enhance their autotrophy.
