Abstract:In this study, by PCR amp lification with the genomic DNA of nineteen species belonging to six genera in Rosaceae, six Simple Sequence Repeat ( SSR ) markers ( CH02a10, CH02b07, CH02c11,MS01a03, CH01f12 and CH03d11) derived from apple genome were tested for analysis their general application on different species. The results indicated that, almost for all species, these SSR primers could amplify productswith the sizes similar to those of apple respectively. Therefore, these SSR primers developed from cultivar apple would be suitable for more germplasm resources research cross species or genus in Rosaceae. But the polymorphism level of each SSR marker demonstrated much difference too. In this research, it was found that CH01f12 displayed the best polymorphism among these species.
