测定了61个陆地棉品种的种籽品质。粗蛋白和粗脂肪之间为极显著负相关(r=-0.8921)。粗脂肪平均含量为34.777%,亚油酸平均含量为53.84%,二者之间为正相关,但不显著。粗蛋白、赖氨酸平均含量分别为40.308% 2.3687%,二者之间为极显著正相关(r=0.3477)。61个陆地棉品种中,赖氨酸及亚油酸含量均较高的品种有19个,其中邢台6871、中7、皖73-10,为中熟丰产品种;辽棉3号为早熟品种;SP23、岱55、布隆迪棉、岱61、岱41等,均可作为棉籽品质改良的亲本材料。棉籽仁是优质植物油脂及高蛋白食品和饲料的来源。它的不饱和脂肪酸占70%以上,亚油酸占50%以上;棉仁粉蛋白质含量高达50%以上。
