Abstract: A species of the genus Dichocarpum (Ranunculaceae)ꎬ D􀆰 lobatipetalumꎬ is described as new from south ̄
eastern Yunnan Provinceꎬ China. The morphological differences between it and its allyꎬ D􀆰 malipoenseꎬ are given.

In having a single basal leaf per plant and lan ̄
ceolate larger leaflets of the basal leaf this species is
quite similar and related to Dichocarpum malipoense
D􀆰 D. Tao. From the latter it differs in its much taller
scapeꎬ much larger two to three times branched 9-
14 ̄flowerd cymeꎬ larger flowers with pinkish elliptic
sepals 14-17 mm longꎬ and 2 ̄lobed petal limbs with
peltate bases. In D􀆰 malipoenseꎬ the scape is very
lowꎬ only 4-6 cm tallꎬ the cyme is very smallꎬ only
once branchedꎬ 2-3 ̄floweredꎬ the flowers are very
smallꎬ with sepals whiteꎬ obovateꎬ only 4 - 5 mm
long and broadꎬ and the petal limbs are emarginate
at apex and not peltate at base. Besidesꎬ this species
is also related to D􀆰 hypoglaucum W􀆰 T. Wang &
Hsiao belonging also to Ser. Dalzielianaꎬ and from
the latter differs in its lanceolate leaflets. In D􀆰 hyp ̄
oglaucumꎬ the leaflets are ovate in shape. ( Taoꎬ
