Abstract:The total alkaloid of Acanitum kusnezoffii processed by steam at various pressures and temperatures was determined by neutralization method and the toxic alkaloids such as aconitine, mesaconitine and hypaconitine were analysed by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that there was no obvious change in the content of total alkaloid while the content of strong toxic alkaloids gradually decreased with the increase of pressure and temperature.
