Abstract:This paper reports a new species of Dadoxylon Dadoxylon taiyuanensis from the coal balls found near Xiedao village of the Western‘ Moutain of Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. These specimens are well preserved which show the endarch primary xylom and a solid pith, so it suggests that they would be more approximate to conifer woods. In addition, statistical method is used in discription and comparision of the secondary xylem rays.
