Abstract:Theefectsofsodiumseleniteconcentrationandadditionmodeonthepreparationofseleni
umenrichedCandidautiliswithhighperformance(highorganicseleniumcontentandhighglutathi
onecontent)wereinvestigatedinflasksanda5Lfermentor,respectively.Itwasfoundthateficient
seleniumenrichmentinC.utiliscouldbeachievedunderthesodium seleniteconcentrationof
15mg/L,butoneshotadditionofsodiumselenitewithhighconcentrationhadpoisonousefecton
yeastcels.Accordingly,abeterculturemodeforeficientpreparationofseleniumenrichedC.utilis
wasobtainedwithbatchadditionofsodiumseleniteasfolows:10mmol/LLmethionewasaddedat
0h,and10and5mg/Lsodiumselenitewasaddedat12and15h,respectively.Underthisculture
mode,glutathioneof1723mg/Landorganicseleniumcontentof1194μg/gcouldbeachieved
withintheseleniumenrichedC.utilis.
