Abstract:The bioactivity of the novel compound, (Symbol:HIA-1) and the influence on some biochemical indexes of Abutilon theophrasti were studied. The result showed that HIA-1 had different degree inhibitory effect to Sorghum moench, Echinochloa crusgalli, Cucumis sativus, Raphanus sativus, Abutilon theophrasti and Brassica campestris from 0.05mg/L to 10mg/L. Thereinto, Cucumis sativus, Raphanus sativus, Abutilon theophrasti and Brassica campestris were more sensitive, and the inhibitory rates of radicle and bud length were above 86.2% and 88.2% after treatment at 10mg/L. But the radicle and bud were promoted at 0.01mg/L. The cells comparative survival rate of radicle, which was reduced followed with increase of concentration, was above 100% at 0.1mg/L, representing simulative effect in A.theophrasti. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of seedling and radicle of A.theophrasti were about 50% and 30% of control at 1000mg/L respectively, which were more than the control at 0.1 and 1mg/L. Peroxidase (POD) activities of seedling and radicle of A.theophrasti were lower than the control activities from 10 to 1000 mg/L, with 58% and 40% of those of the control at 1000mg/L, but higher than the control activities at lower concentrations with both about 130% of those of the control at 1mg/L.
