Abstract:Thecutingsfrom3yearoldmotherplantofPiceapungenswerechosentoinvestigatetheirrootingability
andtheoptimizedcombinationofrootingagent.Besides,theefectofdiferentcutingconditionsontherootingof
diferentvarietiesofP.pungenswasstudiedsystematicaly.TheresultsshowedthatthecalusformationofP.pun
genscutingstartedat10daysaftercuting,andafter30daystheybegantoroot,andthepeakperiodofrootingwas
40 70daysaftercuting,and80daysaftercutingtherootingratewouldreachto97%.Thereweresignificant
diferencesamongthefiveP.pungensvarietiesonrootingrateandaveragerootlength,butthediferenceonthe
numbersofrootingwasstatisticalysignificant.Thedominantfactorinfluencingtherootingratewastreatingtime.
Theefectoflateralbranchtypesonrootingwasextremelydiferent.Therootingrateoffirstorderlateralbranches
reached100%,andthesecondlateralbranchesreached88.97%.Nosignificantdiferencewasfoundbetweenthe
cutinglengthandrootingrateandaveragerootlength,butverysignificantdiferencewasfoundbetweenthenum
bersofrootingandrootefectindex;theefectofcutingageonrootinghadnosignificantdiferences.Theoptimized
treatmentofhormoneconcentrationforrootingistoimmersethecutingsin100mg/LIBAfor0.5hourswithone
yearold810cmlengthfirstordersidebranches.
