Abstract:A study to analyze and determine the differences of nine sudangrass varieties‘nutrilites and agronomic traits at earing stage, to do path analysis between nutrilites induding forage crude protein, fat and fiber and 5 agronomis traits such as time-length from emergence to earing, diameter of the main stem base, nodal number per main stem, tiller per plant ,and stem-leaf ratio, indicated that time-length from emergence to heading nodal number per main stem, and tiller number per plant were the most significant complementing and limiting factors influencing the sudangrass varieties‘contents of crude protein, fat and fiber. Cultivars that grow vigorously, ear early, with less nodals on the main stem but more tillers per plant are number of nodals per main stem are criteria by which a desired sudangrass is distinguished. Besides, the number of tillers per plant of a variety is also gauged for progeny selection.
