摘 要 ：本文观察了9种山茶属植物的花粉母细胞在减数分裂过程中的染色体配对行为。云南元江的怒江山茶和云南腾冲沙坝开白花的云南山茶在中期I分别出现单价体、二价体和多价体，它们的少数细胞在后期I或后期II出现滞后染色体，表现出一定杂合性；其余的金花茶、凹脉金花茶、西南红山茶、白毛红山茶以及昆明金殿和云南保山河口的怒江山茶是二倍体，在中期I形成15个二价体，云南野山茶、攸县油茶和云南腾冲云华开红花的云南山茶是六倍体，在中期I只形成45个二价体,都很纯合，可作为原始育种材料。其中的六倍体可能是异源六倍体。根据本文和前人的研究认为：云南腾冲一带是云南山茶的原始分布中心，为加速对这一植物的开发和利用，宜在该地建立云南山茶保护区。

Abstract:In this paper the meiosis of 9 species in genus Camellia were studied . C. chrysantha, C. impressinervis, C. pitardii var. pitardii, C. albovilosa and two population of C. saluenensis from Jindian of Kunming and Hekou of Baoshan, Yunnan formed 15 bivalents at metaphase I; C. pitardii var. yunnanica, c. yuhsienensis and five red-flowered populations of C. reticulata from Yunhua of Tengchong formed 45 bivalents at metaphase I. All of these species or populations mentioned above were pure, and might be used as the appropriate materials for purpose of breed-ing by crossing.
