Abstract:In order to prepare environmental protection of agriculture and forestry superabsorbent, and solve the single function P(AA-co-AM)/FA hydrogels have been prepared using γ-irradiation from a 60Co source. The effects of the dose of irradiation, the content of FA was studied. The water absorption rate and reswelling capability of superabsorbent was investigated. The results showed that the hydrogel composite containing 15% FA at irradiation dose 6kGy could absorb 437 times in deionized water and 61 times in 0.9%NaCl solution. After reswelling for 10 times, the hydrogel could still absorb 199 times, which decreased by 54%. The superabsorbent increased soil moisture content, which improved the water absorption and retention properties, overcome the problems of traditional method of more serious pollution and higher energy consumption. The superabsorbent that could save water and provide some nutrients was suitable for preparing agriculture and forestry superabsorbent, and provids some reference for the synthetic technique of hydrogels containing fulvic acid.
