structedaccordingtotheirlivinghabitsandthebiologicalfunctionofeachbehavior.Thedifferencesofbe
haviorpatternsbetweenenclosureandtestboxwasanalyzedamongdifferentreproductiveperiods,differ
entdevelopmentalperiods,andsomemainactiveperiods,respectively.TheresultsshowedthatBrandt’s
voles’ethogramwasdividedintoindividualbehaviorandsocialbehavior.Individualbehaviorincludedlo
comotivebehavior,ingestivebehavior,nonsocialexploratorybehavior,eliminatebehavior,sentinelbe
havior,maintenancebehaviorandnestbuildingbehavior.Socialbehaviorincludedamicablebehavior,ag
nosticbehavior,reproductivebehaviorandinfanticidebehavior.Thestatisticaldatashowedthat,compa
ringwithenclosurethepercentageoflocomotivebehaviorandsentinelbehaviorintestboxdecreasedsig
nificantly,andthenonsocialexploratorybehavior,selfgroomingandamicablebehaviorincreasedmarked
ly.Thenestbuildingbehaviorandreproductivebehaviorinlactationhappenedmorefrequentlythanin
oestrumandgestation.Thefrequencyofingestivebehaviorinjuvenilewashigherthaninsubadultanda
dult.Thepercentageofnestbuildingbehaviorinautumnincreasedsignificantly.
