Abstract:Using the 2×2 contigency table and different indices, the interspecific associations of main shrub populations in Alsophila spinulosa community in Yongding, Fujian were analyzed. The result of X2 test shows that the imterspecific association is not obviously correlative in most of the species-pair, except the minority species-pair. After the association coefficient (AC) and the percentage of co-ocurrence (PC)were calculated, there was closely the plsitive association among Syzygium buxifolium and Maesa japonica, Rosa sp. and Eurya nitida, Ardisia japonica and Maesa japonica, Cyclobalanopsis glauca and Ilex chinensis. It shows that there are similar in ecologcal characteristics and habitat among these four species-pairs
