Abstract:Twelve constituents were isolated from dry and fresh fingered citron (fruit of Citrus medica var.sarcodactylis). Ten of them were identified as 3,5,8-trihydroxy-7, 4‘-dimethoxyflavone, limettin, 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin, limonin, nomilin, β-sitosterol, daucosterol, p-hydroxycinnamic acid, palmitic acid and succinic acid. The elucidation of their structures were based on spectroscopic data and chemical facts. 3,5,8-trihydroxy-7,4‘-dimethoxyflavone was isolated from a natural source for the first time.
