Abstract:Four steroidal saponins were isolated from rhizomes of Dioscorea parvi- flora Ting collected from Yunnan Province. Their chemical structures have been elucidated by means of chemical and spectrometric analyses as gracillin [Ⅰ]; deltonine [Ⅱ]; protogracillin [Ⅲ] and deltoside [Ⅳ]. Deltoside is the first time obtained in pure state from Dioscorea plants.
