Abstract:A new abietane type diterpene compound, hypoglic acid (I ), and two known compounds, triptonoterpene methyl ether (II) and triptonoterpenol (III), were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of the alcohol extract of root of Tripterygium hypoglaucum (Levl.) Levl. et Hutch, by means of column chromatography. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral methods.
