Abstract:Abstract After chemical treatment of Jojoba oil, analyses of GC and GC/MS were made for determining the composition of the oil. The result shows no difference from that reported by Thomas K Miwa, Double bond positions of the fatty acids have been elaborated by means of "remote functional group modification" .The Jojoba oil contains mainly the following percentages of fatty acids and fatty alcohol. Fatty acids (%); Hexadec-7C-enoic 0.07-0.1,Octadec-9C-enoic 3.73- 5.92, Eicos-11C-enoic 37.09-38.83, Docos-13C-enoic 7.09-9.29, Tetracos-15C-enoic 0.62-1.11; Fatty alcohol(%); Octadecenoic alcohol 0.21-0.24, Eicosenoic alcohol 16.15-22.07, Docosenoic alcohol 19.93-23.09, Tetracosenoic alcohol 2.96-4.96.
