Abstract:This paper reports a comparison of various processing methods of Semen Armeniacae (Prunus armeniaca L. var. ansu Maxim.) The comparison is based on the modern procedure and ancient literature related. The quality of the processing is evaluated according to the content of the decomposition product (hydrocyanic acid) of the major component in the Semen Armeniacae (amygdaloside). More reasonable processing methods are thereby suggested.
