Abstract:A novel triterpenoid, kudinchagenin Ⅰ was isolated from the leaves of Ilex kudincha C. J. Tseng and its structure was determined to be 3β-hydroxy- 11 (12), 13 ( 18 ), 19 ( 29 ) - triene-28,20β-lactonic-ursane by a combination of spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray analysis.
